There are two very important differences to consider, and each is dealt with separately:
- The software is the application that you use to input data – this is backed-up in accordance with a service level agreement.
- The data that you collect is your own data. You will have the facility to download this data and back-up at any time.
Your application will be backed-up and stored off-site on a regular basis. For a standard contract, this is once per month.
Your own submitted form data is not backed up automatically unless otherwise agreed. This is because it is your data and may contain personally identifiable, or commercially sensitive information. Under GDPR you will need your own policy for the storage of this kind of data.
